The City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas met in special session on the 31st of,July,
2015, in City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1625 13th Street, Lubbock, Texas at 8:30 a.m.

Present: Mayor Pro Tenn Jim Gerlt; Council Member Karen Gibson; Council Member
Latrelle Joy; Council Member Floyd Price; City Manager ;lathes Loomis; City
Secretary Rebecca Garan; First Assistant City Attorney Mitch Satterwhite
Absent: Mayor Glen C. Robertson.; Council Member.Teff Griffith; Council :Member Victor
Hernandez
Note: City Council addressed agenda items in the,following order:

1. 1. Presentation of a special recognition to the delegates from Musashino City, Japan.
Mayor Pro Tern Jim Gerlt gave welcome remarks and Yuka Dorsey, Interpreter, translated.
Kazuhiro Misawa, Delegation Leader and. Director of Finance. gave comments about the
program and thanked the City Council and citizens of Lubbock for their hospitality. Yuki Bikai,
Junior Ambassador from. Musashino City, also gave comments and extended appreciation on
behalf of the delegation. Council Member Latrelle Joy presented a special recognition to the
Junior Ambassador Delegates from our sister city, Musashino City, Japan. The adult delegates in
attendance were: Kazuhiro Misawa, Mika Kamioka, Ryo Koto, and Yuka Dorsey. The 2015
Japanese Junior Ambassadors were: Momoka Ida, rumiha Ooka, Akari Cikada, Tomoyo 011o,
Kaiyukarai Komatsu, Toshiyuki Sassa, Kaisei Suzuki, Mari Takabatake, Manaka Chiba, Shinji
Nakagawa, Makoto Noguchi, Akari Hashimoto, Yuki gikai, Kasurni 1^ujikawa, Toshiki
Miyatani, and Yu►ani Yoshimura. Mayor Pro "l`em Jim Gedt gave closing remarks.
8:59 A.M. CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED
There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor Pro Tenn Jim
Gerlt adjourned the meeting.
