SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
NOVEMBER 30, 1977
The City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 11:45 A.M. in the regular meeting place
at City Hall, the following members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor Roy Bass, Councilman Dirk West, Councilwoman Carolyn Jordan, Councilman Alan Henry, Counc
man Bill McAlister, City Manager Larry Cunningham, City Attorney Fred 0. Senter, ,Jr., and City
Secretary -Treasurer Treva Phillips.
Absent: None
The City Council considered cost of gas through and an amendment or repeal of Ordinance No. 685
relating to automatic fuel cost increases on natural gas rates. Mr. Bill Lampe and Mr. David
Culver, representing Pioneer Natural Gas Company, appeared in regard to the automatic fuel cost
increases on natural gas rates. Mr. Ervin Looney, Rate Analyst for the City, appeared and answ
ed questions of the City Council regarding this item. After consideration of all information
presented, motion was made by Councilwoman Jordan, seconded by Councilman Henry, motion carried
Mayor Bass, Councilmen West, Jordan, Henry and McAlister voting; Yea, none voting Nay to pass Or
nance No. 7579 on first reading.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 6855,WHICH PROVIDED FOR
AUTOMATIC GAS RATE ADJUSTMENTS ACCORDING TO FUEL COSTS, BY PROVIDING FOR ACCOUNTING AND REFUND
OF EXCESSIVE RATES; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
NO FURTHER BUSINESS COMING UP FOR CONSIDERATION, THE CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED FROM SPECIAL
MEETING, November 30, 1977
