SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MAY 2, 1975
The City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 9:30 A.M., in the EOC
at City Hall, for a Special Called City Council Meeting with the following
members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor Roy Bass, Councilman Dirk West, Councilwoman Carolyn Jordan, Councilman
Alan Henry, City Manager N. B. McCullough, City Attorney Fred 0. Senter,
Jr., and City SecretaryTreasurer Treva Phillips.
Absent: Councilman Bryce Campbell
75-34-204-429 The City Council considered approval of plans by the Texas Highway Department
(1) for extension of Interstate 27. After consideration of all information present-
ed, motion was made by Councilman West, seconded by Councilwoman Jordan,
motion carried, Mayor Bass, Councilmen West, Jordan and Henry voting Yea,
none voting Nay to approve the plans as presented by Sam Wahl, Director of
Public Works, and pass the following resolution authorizing the Mayor to
sign the Title Sheet of the Texas Highway Department's proposed plan for
the extension of Interstate 27 within the City of Lubbock indicating the
City of Lubbock's approval of such plans.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT has submitted proposed plans for
the extension of INTERSTATE-27 within the CITY OF LUBBOCK: NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the MAYOR of the CITY OF LUBBOCK, BE and is hereby authorized to
sign the Title Sheet of the TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENTS proposed plans for
the extension of INTERSTATE-27 within the CITY OF LUBBOCK indicating the
CITY OF LUBBOCK'S approval of such plans.
Passed by the City Council this 2nd day of May, 1975.
