October 4, 1968 SPECIAL CALLED CITY COUNCIL MEETING: The City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 2:15 p.m. in the City Hall, the following members thereof being present to -wit: I Mayor W. D. Rogers, Jr., and Councilmen Deaton Rigsby and Morris W. Turner, City Manager W. R. Blackwell, Assistant City Attorney Kenneth Jones and City Secretary -Treasurer Lavenia Lowe. Absent: Councilmen James H. Granberry and Lonnie F. Hollingsworth 68-27-365-890 The City Council considered the depository bids of Citizens National Bank and Security National (1) Bank which were opened and read on September 12, 1968, being of record in Minute Book 27, Page 334, and motion was made by Councilman Rigsby, seconded by Councilman Turner, motion carried, Mayor Rogers and Councilmen Rigsby and Turner voting Yea, none voting Nay, that the bids as sub- mitted on said date be rejected and new bids requested. It was unanimously agreed by the City Council that specific bidding sheets be prepared by the City of Lubbock for submission to the bidders along with the request for new bids. Said bidding sheets to be submitted to the City Council on October 24, 1968, for consideration at which time the City Council expects to authorize publication of Notice to Bidders for new bids on said City depository. NO FURTHER BUSINESS COMING UP FOR CONSIDERATION, THE CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED FROM SPECIAL MEETING, OCTOBER 4, 1968. D. Rogers, Jr., and Councilmen James H. Granberry, Lonnie F. Hollingsworth and Deaton Rigsby, City Attorney Fred 0. Senter, Jr., City Manager W. R. Blackwell and City Secretary - Treasurer Lavenia Lowe. Absent: Councilman Morris W. Turner 68-27-366-891 There came up for consideration approval of the 1968 tax rolls and the 1967 delinquent and supple- (1) mental rolls. Also correction of the 1967 rolls. Motion was then made by Councilman Rigsby, seconded by Councilman Granberry, motion carried, Mayor Rogers and Councilmen Granberry, Hollings- worth, and Rigsby voting Yea, none voting Nay, that the tax rolls as set out below be approved: 1968 Tax Rolls as of October 1, 1968 $ 6,330,016.53 1967 Delinquent Real Estate as of July 1, 1968 219,052.72 1967 Personal Property Delinquent July 1, 1968 165,721.92 1967 Supplemental Rolls 4,505.80 1967 Error Rolls 17,555.34 12 NO FURTHER BUSINESS COMING UP FOR CONSIDERATION, THE CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED FROM SPECIAL MEETING, OCTOBER 9, 1968.
