We the undersigned being interested in and effected by -the proper drainage of the various
properties subject to flooding because of storm run-off water directed by streets and storm
sewers into various areas in excess, without having sufficient outlets; and damage and flooding
resulting do earnestly request that the city council, now that an underground storm sewer is being
provided, direct any and all water illegally diverted into the effected area into the underground
storm sewers now being provided so that flooding conditions will be eliminated by directing all
excessive diverted water into the underground sewer instead of directing it into residential areas
there -by causing rising water and damaging flooding conditions because of inadequate outlets.
Run-off into areas where it would not normally flow should be drained by.underground storm sewers
and not into developed areas. '
