This property is in residential and I bought this home some 19 years ago and there is plenty on businese.property already. zoned to take care of what these people are trying.to do. 2. There would be no room for parking in this area. We are already having problems with traffic due to Little League Ball Parks. 3. Mr. Easter only owns 1 lot and he is try to get 3 lots zoned. How do you account for that? Signature:- /s/ Thurman Holly Reply I am in favor of ( ), opposed to (x) the change of zone request ty-Case No. 1016-A. My reasons and, comments are as follows: Signature: /s/ J. F. Moncrief To: City Council Members From: Mr. and Mrs. E. P. McGee (3909 Uvalde Street) We are protesting the change from "R-1" zoning.on lots 3-4-5-6 in the Blackburn Subdivision by J. B. Easter. Unless he has purchased 3 of these lots from Mr. Blackburn in the past few days, Mr. Easter only owns one of them -- on the corner of 40th and Avenue Y. Here are some of the reasons for our protest: 1. We are only 6 blocks South of a business district on 34th Street, and 10 blocks North of one on 50th Street. 2. We think 40tb Stred is too narrow for any traffic other than for single residences. 3. 40th Street is solidly residential from Avenue Q to Slide Road. 4. The 4 lots in quegtion are split in the middle with a wide alley which runs North and South-- making 2 lots on the West side of the block, and 2 on the East side. The alley cannot be changed from East to West because there is a home in the middle of the block on the East side. 5. They have constructed an office building on the corner of 40th and Avenue U, but there was a grocery store on that lot years before we had zoning laws and the City told us that just that one lot would have to stay business because of that. 6. Our house faces the lots that Mr. Easter (and Mr. Blackburn) want changed -- they are directly across the street West of us -- we are on the corner of 40th and Uvalde Street. Sincerely, /a/ E. P. McGee Isl Mrs. E. P.
