Re: Zoning Case No. 861-A Dear Sir: The recommendation of the Zoning and Planning Commission on application of Cardinal Life Insurance Company presented to the City Council in connection with the above mentioned matter was refused by the Council because the plat as submitted to the Council reflected a combination use of the property, for a private apartment building and commercial shopping center, and the area was less than five and one-half acres as required by Sections 14A.1-8 and 14A.1-9, Ordinance 1695, as amended. In view of the change in circumstances and the change in the proposed use of the land, Cardinal Life Insurance Company hereby requests that the City Council reconsider its action upon such application and requests that notice be given to the adjoining land owners, and that Cardinal Life Insurance Company be given an opportunity to present to the Council its views on this matter as reflected by the new site plan attached hereto, and in light of the waiver by Cardinal Life Insurance Company of the commercial features of said cause.
