RECESSED REGULAR MEETING:
The City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 1:30 p.m. in recessed regular session recess
from Regular -Meeting of January 23, 1964, the following members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor Jack F. Strong and Councilmen W. E. Alderson, W. C. O'Mara, Rolan Simpson, and Marvin McLarty
Jr., City Attorney Fred 0. Senter, Jr., City Manager William J. Pitstick, Jr., City Secretary -
Treasurer Lavenia Lowe.
Absent: None.
64-23-47-116 Motion by Councilman Simpson, seconded by Councilman Alderson, motion carried, Mayor Strong and
Councilmen Alderson, O'Mara, Simpson, and McLarty voting Yea, none voting Nay, to authorize appoints
of Dr. William N. Pearce, R. B. McAllister, Gene McDonald, Dr. 0. Brandon Hull, and Kenneth Pharr
as members to the Board of City Development. Terms are for a period of six years, these members
terms to expire January 15, 1970.
64-23-47-117 Bids as follows were received for the purchase of high voltage cable, being Bid No. 7790. (This
cable is to be used at the Holly Avenue Power Station.)
Bid Tabulation set in Bid Book.
After consideration of all bids received motion was made by Councilman Simpson, seconded by
Councilman Alderson, motion carried, Mayor Strong and Councilmen Alderson, O'Mara, Simpson, and
McLarty voting Yea, none voting Nay, to authorize acceptance of the bid of Westinghouse Electric
Supply Company for the purchase of this cable.
NO FURTHER BUSINESS COMING UP FOR CONSIDERATION,
REGULAR MEETING, JANUARY 24, 1964.
