Dear George:
We are now in the process of constructing a building for Custom Leasing, Inc. at 409 East 50th.
This letter is for the purpose of requesting a hearing before the City Cormission in order that
we might ask that the sidewalk requirement be waived.
hie are requesting this waiver due to the fact that this is an industrial area where there are
no sidewalks adjacent in either directions and where there is little, if any, pedestrian traffic.
Openings are being provided vehicles to enter into the property with a paved parking area in
front of the building.
We feel that a sidewalk would be of no benefit now or in the future.
DDTImia
Very truly yours,
Don Tusha -
No person appeared -to protest the waiver of the•sidewalk requirement at 409 East 50th Street.
After consideration motion was made by Commissioner O'Mara, seconded by Commissioner McLarty,
motion carried, Mayor Strong and Commissioners Alderson, O'Hara, Simpson, and UcLarty voting Yea,

Dear Sirs:
This letter represents a request for a waver of the requirement of a sidewalk circling the
Church property at 3211 58th Street to which an addition is now being planned. Plans for the
addition are in the hands of the building department of the city. Because the Church occupies a
full city block with no residences on it, or across the street for that matter, and because the
restriction was waved when the major part of the building was built, we are now requesting a
renewal of that waver.
Sincerely,
F.S. Gonzalez, Ph.D.
Lubbock Branch President
Mr. F. S. Gonzalez appeared before the City Commission requesting waiver of the sidewalk requirements
