Mayor Morris W..- Turner. and Councilman Lonnie F.. Hollingsworth, .Councilwoman Carolyn Jordan,
Councilmen.johu-B.-Baker and Bryce Campbell, City Managet.N. G: McCullough, City Attorney Fred 0.
Senter, Jr., Assistant City Manager Robert Wilson and Gity Secretary -Treasurer Lavenia Lowe.
Absent: None

Nay,: to pass Ordinance.No. 6450 on second. and final reading. Councilwoman Jordan stated she
feels - the necessary funds for operation of the City of Lubbock should.be raised by ad valorem
tax. ...
ORDINANCE NO. 6450
AN ORDINANCE SETTING 11 TAX RATE AND LEVYING TAX UPON ALL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO TAXATION
WITHIN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1972; APPORTIONING SAID LEVY AMONG THE VARIOUS
FUNDS AND ITEMS .FOR WHICH REVENUE -MUST BE RAISED; FIXING THE TIME IN WHICH SAID TAXES BE PAID
AND ASSESSING PENALTY AND INTEREST FOR NON-PAYMENT. OF SUCH TAXES WITHIN THE TIME PROVIDED.
NO FURTHER BUSINESS COMING UP FOR CONSIDERATION, THE CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED FROM SPECIAL
MEETING, SEPTEMBER 20, 1972.
