RELEASE
THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
THAT WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipd.ity in the County
of Lubbock, State of Texas, did, at a regular meetirg a quorum being present, on the 25th day of May,
1961, appoint the undersigned DAVID C. CASEY, Ablor, to Release any right, title, interest, claim and
demand in and to a certain tract or parcel of land as particularly hereinafter described, insofar as
any right, title, interest, claim and demand was created by reason. of Ordinance No. 1908, reference
being hereby rre to said resolution of appointment now of record in book 20, page 180, of the minutes
of the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas; NOW THEREFORE:
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation, in and for
consideration of premises considered, does hereby Release, Relinquish, and forever Quitclaim to the owner
or owners including Louis F. Lang, Jr., and wife, Geraldine Lang, their hers and assigns, any lien by
reason of said Ordinance No. 1908 or any purported paving assessment on and to a certain tract and parcel:
of land situated in the County of Lubbock, Texas, but without prejudice to any public or private right,
title, estate, interest, claim and demand not herein specifically set forth, said certain tract and
parcel of land being bounded and described as follows, to -wit:
That portion knwn as Unit 1850-12 Lot 20, Block 5, J. C. Davis Subdivision, an addition to the City
of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, fronting 132.5 feet on the West side of Avenue L.
and hereby release all right, title, estate, niterest, claim and demand said City of Lubbock may have in
and to the specific property described herein pursuant to the said Ordinance No. 1908 and the paving
procedures followed for the improvements set forth in said Ordinance No. 19083, but this release does not
and shall never be construed as being a receipt or acknowledgement of payment of the principle and interes
due on the paving certificate issued by virtue of Ordinance No. 1908 or release of any cause of action
based on said certificate as evidence of assessment.
