January 21, 1950.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 2 P.T., January
212 19501 at the regular meeting place in the City Hall, being recessed
regular session recessed from regular me ting of January 12, 1950, the fol-
lowing members thereof being present, to-%rit:
Mayor W.H. Rod& :r6, Commissioners W.B. Price, Clarence K. Whiteside, City
Manager Steve Matthews, City Attorney Vaughn E. Wilson.
Absent: Commissioners John Spikes, and E.K. Hufstedler, Jr., and City
Secretary Lavenia Lowe.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COI&TISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT R.L. Oldham as agent for the City of Lubbock is authorized to make
offer of $4,000.00 to J. Lee Quillen, individually and as co -administrator
with Mrs. Lorenzo Wirt, all jointly for a sixty (60) foot wide water line
right-of-way Easement near the East line of Section 13, Block A, and ex-
tending from near the Northeast corner of said Section to a point near the
South,east Corner of said Section, Lubbock County, Texas; provided acceptance
is made by wire not later than Tuesday, January 24, 1950, at 5 o'clock P.M..
On motion by Commissioner Whiteside, seconded &Ttp.ommissioner Price,
the foregoing Resolution was duly passed bya ma jorityof the City Commission
this 21st day of January, 1950.
