June 24, 1949
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, 'Texas, met at 4:30 I.M.
in recessed regular session, recessed from regular meeti::g of June 23,
1949) at the regular meeting place in the City Hall, the following
members thereof being present, to --wit:
Mayor W H Rodgers, Commissioners Clarence K. jlhiteside, E.K. Hufstedler,Jr.,
City Attorney Vaughn E. Wilson, City Manager Steve 'idatthews, City Secretary
Lavenia Lowe.
Absent: Commissioner wl.B. Price and Commissioner John Spikes.
Motion by Commissioner Hufstedler, seconded by Commissioner Whiteside,
carried unanimously, the following Resolution was passed:
RESOLUTION
The Mayor of the �'ity of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to
issue notices to all tenants at Lubbock army Air field to vacate the
premises occupied by them in connection with the Housing Authority of
the City of Lubbock not later than August 1, 1949. These notices to
be sent, individually, to each tenant as shown by the Lubbock Housing
Authority's 'records, and to be sent thirty (30) days before August 1, 1949.
