March 28, 1949
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at Eleven A.M.
in recessed regular session, recessed from regular meeting of March 24,
19490 at the regular meeting pace in the City Hall, the following
members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor W.H. Rodgers, Commissioner W.B. Price, Commissioner Clarence K.
Whiteside, City Secretary Lavenia Lowe.
Absent: Commissioner E.K. Hufstedler, Jr. and Commissioner John Spikes.
Motion by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Whiteside, carried
unanimously, to authorize representative of the City of Lubbock to attend
National River and Harbor Conference in Washington, D.C., April 6,7, and
8, 1949, at the expense of the City.
Motion by Commissioner Whiteside, seconded by Commissioner Price, carried
unanimously, to authorize the City Manager and one other City employee,
to go to Austin, Texas, March 28, 1949, at the expense of the Citv, in re-
gard to Legislative Bills Pending, and other matters of interest to the
City Of Lubbock.
Motion by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Whiteside, carried
unanimously, to authorize Mayor W.H. Rodgers to execute Contract of Sale,
aZi-& Lease agreement, payment, and Agreement to Escrow, between the City of
Lubbock and Oscar C. and Corinne Palmer, also warranty deed to approxi-
mately 10 Acres of Airport land, in connection with location of Palmer
Manufacturing Company of a plant at Municipal Airport.

No further business coming up for consideration, the City Commission
recessed to meet April 7, 1949, at 1:30 P.M.
