January b, 1949.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 4 P. M. in
recessed regular session, recessed from regular meeting of December 23,
1948, at the regular meeting place in the City Hall, the following
members thereof beinp present, to -wit:
Mayor W H Rodgers, Commissioners W.B. Price and E.K. Hufstedler,
City Secretary Lavenia voilliams.
Absent: Commissioner Clarence K. Whiteside and 'ommissioner John Spikes.
Motion by Commissioner Hufstedler, seconded by Commissioner Price,
carried unanimously, to authorize the Mayor W H Rodgers to send
telegram, as follows, to Commissi ,ner Clarence K. Whiteside, % George Mahon,
Conaressman, Washington, D.C.:
"This will be your authority and direction to apEear before
the War Assets Administration in behalf of the ity Commission
of the City of Lubbock, requesting that the Pantex Ordnance
properties be made available to Texas Technological College
under terms acceptable to the Board of Directors of said
College."

No further business coming up for consideration, the "ity commission
