RECESSED REGULAR MEETING.
Lubbock, Texas
January 18, 1949.
The Uity Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at
11:30 A.M. in recessed regilar session, recessed from regular
meeting of January 13, 1949, at the rem)lar meeting place in
the 'pity Hall, the followin,F members thereof being present, to -wit:
M,qyor W.H. Rod7ers, Commissioners W.B. Price, Clarence K. Whiteside,
E.K. Hufstedler, Jr., City Secretary Lavenia Williams.
Absent: Commissioner John Spikes.(
Motion was made by Commissioner Hufstedler, seconded by Commissioner
Price, carried unanimously, to employ Steve Matthews, of Pampa, Texas,
as future 1-ity Manager of the City of Lubbock, Texas, at a salary of
Twelve Thousand ($12,000.00) Dollars per year, effective Fehraary 15,
1949.
No further business coming up for consideration, the City Commission
adjourned.
