December 17, 1948
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texps, met at 9 A.M. in
recessed regular session, recessed from regular meeting of December
9, 1948, at the regular meeting place in the City Hall, the followinr,
meters thereof being present, to -suit:
Mayor W.H. Rodgers, Commissioners "!".B. Price, E.K. Hufstedler,
Clarence K. Whiteside, City Attorney Vaughn E. Wilson, City Manager
TI.R. Smith, Jr., City ^ecretary Lavenia Williams.
Absent: Commissioner John Spikes.
Also present in the meeting were Mr. J.C. Turner and Mr. Atkinson.
The meeting was called for the purpose of going over the report of
Mr. Turner, in connection with his contract accepted by the City on
October 18, 1948, of record at lape 260, 11inute Book 8.
After discussion, motion was made by Commissioner Whiteside, seconded
by Commissioner Hufstedler, that the services of Mr. Turner be ter-
mLnated in accordance with the terms of his contract.
The motion carried bl, the following vote:
Commissioners trice, Hufstedler, and Whiteside voting AYE.
Mayor W.H. Rodgers voting NO.
No further business coming up for consideration, the City Commission
Recessed to meet December 20, 1948, at 1:30 P-NI.
Read and approved this the 20 day December, 1948.
