The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 4 1.M. in
recessed regular session, recessed from Regular T7eeting of iVov. 11, 1948
at the regular neeting place in the City Hall, the follcrj ing men bers
thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor W H Rodgers, commissioners J�oY� SpIkes, E K HufstedlerafLia rence K.
Whiteside, City Attorney Vaughn E. Wilson, City idanager ;.I.R. Smith, Jr.
Absent: Commissioner W.B. hrice
This being a joint meeting of the City commission and City l lenning
vomnission, called for the purpose of discussing various zoning
problems, and for reviewing request of Carl E. Maxey, that Block 2,
of the 34th Street 2nd Addition, be changed from its present zone
to a zone permitting the construct'on of apartment houses. After
considerable discussion of this request, the City Commission
unanimously agreed to sustain the action of the Planning com_raission
in their meeting of Nov. 4, 1948, in which this request was rejected.
No further business comigg up for consideration, the City Commission
recessed to meet Nov. 24, 1948, at 1:30 P.M.
Head and approved this the 24th day of November , 1948.
