October 5, 1948.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 10:30 A.M.
in recessed regular session,. recessed from regular meeting of September
23, 1948, at the regular meeting place in the City Hall, the following
members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor W.H. Rodgers, Commissioners Clarence K. Whiteside, E.K.Hufstedler,Jr.,.
John Spikes, City Manager M.R. Smith,Jr.
Absent: Commissioner W.B. price.
Motion by Commissioner Hufstedler, seconded by Commissioner Spikes,
carried unanimously, Ordinance No. 886 passed second and final reading.
Commissioner Clarence K. Whiteside being out of the root, at the time
this vote was taken.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 661, SO AS TO TAKE THE SOUTHEAST ONE -
QUARTER ONE*HALF/4) OF BLOCK (E. 1/2) OFI95, BLOCK0U211E,.SWESTONE-QUARTER
ONE-HALF (W 112))OFFBLOBLOC

NORTHEAST ONE -QUARTER (NE 1/4) OF BLOCK 227 , AND THE NORTHWEST ONE -QUARTER
(NW 1/4) OF BLOCK 228, ALL IN THE ORIGINAL TOWN CF LUBBOCK, OUT OF A
"C" ZONING DISTRICT AND PLACING THEM IN AN "H" ZONING DISTRICT.
PROposal for furnishing plans and specifications for improvements at
the Sewage Treatment Plant, in accordance with the Sewage Treatment
Plant report for the City of Lubbock prepared by N.Np Roberts and
Associates dated October, 1948, was presented by H.N. Roberts and
Associates and Hasie and Green Engineering 6ompany-,-and proposals were
taken under consideration.
No further business coming up for consideration, the C ityCommission
recessed to meet Oct. 7, 1948, at 10:30 A.M.
