In 1950 W. L. Tyler rendered t8 City the Better Built System Cafe for $1300.00
and the Equalization Board added $720.00 for Bldg. on Leased Land making
total
value of $2020,00. Mr. Tyler was called into Navy about September 1st 1950 and
the Cafe has been closed ever since. Mr. J. A. Peel wishes to move the bldg. from
this high price location to a cheaper rent and ask that the taxes be reduced.
In view of the fact the fixtures have -been unused for this period, I recommend
that the value be placed at $850 for bldg. and $300 for fixtures, which would hale
the following cancellation of taxes.
