This has been church property since the year of 1945 and consequently exempt from taxes. We would like to request that you let us, as a non-profit church organization, pay you the original taxes without any interest accrued through these years. We certainly would appreciate your kind consideration in this matter. Thank you in advance for your kindness. Very Sincerely, /s/ Rev. Boyd McSpadden Rev. Gentlemen: The owners of the above property, Lubbock Pipe and Metal Company, respectfully request that the City of Lubbock permit it to pay the accrued tax of $40.94 for the years 1930 through 1934 on the above property; and that the City waive the penalty and interest. You will recall that this property was brought in by the City for the delinquent tax period, then excluded until about a year ago when it was brought back into the City Limits. The owner purchased the property approximately 24 months ago without knowledge of the delinquent tax. It made inquiry but was advised that the property was not in the city limits and no tax was due. It is my understanding that it has been the practice of the city to so adjust taxes for these yearsq and request is respectfully made that the owner be permitted to pay the tax without penalty or interest in full satisfaction of the delinquent claim.
