The City Commission of the City of Lubbock mat at 9:15 A.M. in Recessed Regular Session
recessed from Regular Meeting of August 14, 1952, in the regular meeting place in the
City Hall, the following members thereof being- present to -wit:
Mayor Murrell R. Tripp, Commissioners Harry Morris, Hurley Carpenter, ],, E. Davis, City
Manager, Steve Matthews, and City Secretary, Lavenia Lowe,
Absent: Commissioner Lucian Thomas and City Attorney Vaughn E. Wilson.
Motion by Commissioner Morriss seconded by Commissioner Carpenter, motion carried, Mayor
Tripp and Commissioners Morris, Carpenter,& Davis voting Yea, none voting Nay, Ordinance
No. 1266 was passed as an emergency measure.
ORDINANCE NUMBER 1266
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE IMNEDIATE LETTING OF CONTRACTS FOR INSTALLATION OF
TOILETS AND OTHER FACILITIES AT THE LUBBOCK TRANSIENT.LABOR CAMP, LOCATED WEST OF
NORTH AVENUE "H" NEAR THE YELLOW HOUSE CANYON; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
No further business coming up for consideration, the City Commission recessed to meet
August 21st at 10:00 a.m.
