The "ity Commission of the "ity of Lubbock, Texas, met at 10 —.ITT.
in Recessed Regular Session, recessed fro^ regular meeting of April 11,
1946, at the regular meeting place in the �'ity Hall, the following members
thereof being present, to-vrit :
Maycr C.A. Bestwick, Co�:�missioners W.B. Price J. Ray Dickey, F.H. Childress,
John Spikes, pity Attorney Vaughn E. Nilson, dity ManiAger Honer a. Hunter.
Absent: None.
Motion by Com. Childress, seconded, carried, to authorize City Manager
to sign, for the City of Lubbock, the application to the Federal Public
Housing Authority for conversion of additional buildings at Lubbock
Army Air Field, to provide housing for veterans.
Motion by Commissioner Childress, seconded, carried, that the plans
and specifications for remoddlling the bath house and swimming pool
at Mackenzie State Park be accepted and payment for the plans and
specifications to the Architects and Engineers be made: that the
bids received for doing the work be rejected because that they are
excessively high and because critical materials needed for housing
would be required if the work was done now.
No further business coming ur for consideration, the City Commission
