November 5, 1946.
The City Uommission of the '-;ity of Lubbock, Texas, met at 2 P.M. in
recessed regular session, recessed from regular meeting of October 24,
1946, at the regular meeting place in the City Hall, the following members
thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor C.A. Bestwick, Commissioners ".B. Price, F.H. Childress, J. Ray Dickey,
John Spikes, City Attorney Vaughn E. Wilson, City Manager H-)mer K. Hunter,
City Secretary Lavenia Williams.
Absent: None.
Motion was made by Commissioner Childress, seconded by Commissioner Price,
carried unanimously, to cancel Order No. 8462 dated Jan. 31, 1946, to J.D.
Hufstedler Truck company for five (5) CC 403 G.M.C. trucks and substitute
Order No. 13093 dated November 14, 1946, to Dickinson Motor Com�any, for
five (5) Model IVH-48 trucks. The price of the Dodge trucks is 01,979.05,
F.O.B. factory. The substitution of 9.00 x 20 - 10 Ply Rayon tires on
the rear wheels, instead of the 8.25 x 20 standard equipment tires, is also
approved.
Motion by Uommissioner trice, seconded by Commissi_-,ner Dickey, carried
unanimously, to arrrove and authorize pavement of Unit No. 504, being
8th Street from Avenue 0 to Avenue Q.
No further business coming up for c nsideration, the Uity commission
adjourned.
