June 20, 1943.
The City Commission of the "ity of Lubbock, Texas, met at 2:30 P.M.
in Recessed Regular Session, Recessed from Regular Meeting of
June 10, 1943, at the regular meeting place in the pity Hall, the
following members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor C E Slaton, Commissioners J.O. Jones, W. B. Trice, Garland
Newsom, City Manager IT.R. Smith, Jr., Dr. J.7. Rollo.
Absent: Commissioner Hub Jories.
This meeting was called for the purpose of discussing employing
additional inspectors in the City Health Department, Aere was
discussion, and motion was made by Commissioner W.B. "rice, seconded
by Commissioner J.O. Jones, carried unanimously, that Dr. Rollo
be authorized to employ Dr. K.H. Hoyme as Chief Veterinarian on
meat inspection at a base salary of 4285.00 per month, plus bonus,
and to employ veterinarian as assistant inspector at salary of-;250.00
per month, plus bonus, and two lay inspectors at a base salary of
0185.00 per month, plus bonus; all employees to furnish their own
automobiles,
No further business corning up for consideration, the Lity Commission
adjourned.
