Lubbock, Texas, September 1, 1942.
The City Commission of the lity of Lubbock, Texas, met at 1:30 P.M.
in Recessed Regular Session, Recessed from Regular Meeting of
August 27, 1942, at the Regular Meeting Flace in the City Hall, the
following members thereof, being present, to -wit:
Mayor C.E. Slaton, Commissioners W.B. Price, Garland Newsom, Hub Jones,
J.C. Jones, Acting City Manager M.R. Smith,Jr., City Secretary Lavenia
Williams .
Absent: None .
Motion by Commissioner J.0. Jones, seconded by Commissioner W.B. Price,
carried unanimously, to raise salary of Mrs. Leila Ashford, $50.00 per
month, effective August 15, 1942, for duration of time Mrs. Ashford
serves as Acting City Auditor.
No further business coming up .for consideration, the City Commission
recessed to meet September 3, 1942, at 10:30 ft.M.
