Mr. I.H. Rodgers,
City Manager
Insurance.
Lubbock ,Texas
I wish to make the following recommendations for
additional men on the f orce.
I would like to take a man from the day force, S.O.Boyd,
and putrim on as NIGHT CHIEF with advance in salary of
about 15.00 per month. It will take an additional man
to fill his place here in day time.
I would like to have (2) wl,ite officers to work
together in NEGRO TOIJN, puttin them to working from
middle or later in the evening to late morning hours.
As it is, these man will be on foot unless another car can
be had. If this is not possible a telephone down there
out where they could get to it would be a big help.
I would like to have (1) additional man here in day
tine on car patrol duty - as a pick-up man on calls and
would serve also as a tr_.ffic man.
Julio Herarra, our Mexican Officer resigned a few days
ago in Mexican town. I don't feel that we need a man
over there to fill 'pis nlaee at this time.

-)on Reeder
There was discussion of the above recommendations and it was unanimously
agreed to instruct City Manager '4 H Rodgers to go ahead and work this out in
accordance with Mr. Reeder's recommendations, also to purchase any
additional automobiles needed by the Police Department, trading in the
old ones. --
No further business cori'n7 up for consideration, the City Commission
