Members Present: Mayor C.E. Slaton, Commissioners Y.B. Price, J.O.
Jones, Hub Jones, Garland Newsom, City Manager M.R. Smith,Jr.
Motion by Commissioner W.B. Price, seconded by Commissioner Garland
Newsom, carried unanimously, that the Police Department of the �'ity
of Lubbock employ a man as a venereal control officer That this man
be given a Deputy Sheriff's Commission and a Police 60mmission, and
that the salary of this officer be paid by the City and County, each
to pay 50% of the salary.
No further business coming up for consideration the City Commission
adjourned.
