Lubbock, Texas, April 15, 1941.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas met at 7:30 P.M.
in Recessed Regular Session, Recessed from Regular I,.Leeting of April
101 1941, at the Regular Irleeting Place in the Uity Hall, the following
members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor C E Slaton, Commissioners W G McMillan, a B trice, Garland
Newsom, Hub Jones, City Rana.- r 'd H Rodgers and Secretary Lavenia 'Jilliams.
Absent: Commissioners Hub Jones and Garland Newsom.
This being the date set to receive bids for construction of 5,000,000
Gallon dater Reservoir, upon motion by Commissioner I-'lcllillan, seconded
by Commissioner trice, carried unanimously, to open bids.
Thereupon,bids were opened and read and discussed, and upon motion by
Commissioner IY:cYillan, seconded by Cormissiener "rice, carried unanimously,
to award the Contract to Panhandle Construction Company at a price of
458,759.30, this being considered the best and most advantageous bid to
the City of Lubbock, and I,:a-\-or C L Slaton was authorized to enter into
Contract with Panhandle tors truction `ompany.
No further business toeing up for consideration, the City Commission
adjourned.
