The City Commissi�Dn of the pity :f Lubbock, Texas, met at 1:15 r,11.
in Recessed ±ieE-ular Session, recessed from Re .!lar vAeeting of July
25, 1940, at the Regular Lieeting Place in the Uity Hall, the follow-
ing members thereof being present, to -wit:
I:ayor C E Slaton, Coraiiissioners W G I:iciv:illan, Garland ietwsom, Hub Jones,
City Manager W H Roagers and amity Secretary Lavenia dilliams.
Absent: Cormission-,r -d B ±rice.
This meeting having been called for further consideration of the bids
for the alteration of the City hall, and on jail equipment.
Lotion by Commission r Newsom, seconded by Cor..i:iissioner Jones, carried
unanimously, to reject all bids received on alteration of the City Hall.
The bid*6n jail equipment to .be given further consideration at the
Regular I:ieeting of the City commission, August 8, 1940.
The City 11anager was instructed to contact the General Contractors in
the City and secure proposals as to how much they will charge for
supervision of the alteration of the City Hall, using their own equipment
to do t_.Lis work; and present this information to the Commission, at their
next-,egular I,.-eeting, August 8th, 1940.
No further business cominr, up for consideration, the '�i ty Cor:miission
