The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 7:30 P.M.
in Recessed Regular Session, Recessed from Regui r Meeting of December
28, 1939, at the Regular Meeting Place in the Ci ter Hall, the
following members thereof being present, to -!;it:
Mayor C E Slaton, Commissioners Hub Jones, "11 B Price, J A Fortenberry,
1'1 G 1,id'-ill.an, City Y'anager C1 II Lodgers and City Secretary Lavenia Williams.
Absent: Cornissioner V1 G 11cld1lan.
This being the date set for considering bids on Street Inprovenent Bonds
in the amount of $50,000.001 whereupon notion by �onnissioner Fortenberry,
seconded by `onmissioner Trice, and unanimously carried, bids were opened
and ordered read to the 6arlmission.
After considering all bids, upon notion by commissioner Jones,
seconded by Gonmissioner Fortenberry, carried unanir_iou.sly, the bid
of the fort vlorth National Bank, Fort Borth, Texas, seeming to be the
most advantageous to the amity, was accepted.

I. -lotion by Corunissioner Price, seconded by Connissioner Jones, carried unanimous-
ly, Ordinance 111o. 637 was passed. Issue �50,000 Street Improvement Bonds.
No further business coiling up for consideration, the City "o; z.,is sion
adjourned.

in Regular Session at the Regular T-leeting Place in the City Hall,
the following members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor C.L. Slaton, Commissioners Hub Jones, J. A. i"ortenberry, ).(.B.
Price, W.G. McEillan, City Attorney Durwood H. Bradley, City I.ianager I.H.
Rodgers and City Secretary Lavenia Williams.
Absent: Commissioners W.B. Price, W.G. IIclSillan and J.A. Fortenberry.
