RECESSED RLGULkR MEETING
The City Commission of the City•of Lubbock, Texas, met at 2 o'clock P.Y. in recessed regular
session, recessed from regular meeting of August 23, 1956, at the regular meeting place in the
Cj4r Hall, the followin,:- members thereof being present to -wit:
A.ayor S. S. Forrest, Jr., Commissioners Lennis Baker, 0. L. Byrd and D=.v-d Casey, Al Couch
Finance Director, N. B. AcCullough, Director of Public Works.
56-15-349-950 Notion was made by Commissioner Casey, seconded by Commissioner Baker4i notion carried, Mayor
Forrest and Co-iurissioners Baker, Byrd and Casey voting Yea, none voting Nay, to authorize accept-
ance of tre oral proposal of Alrs. ;ratty II. Simco for purchase of the South 101' of the West 161.5'
of Tract 5, Suburban Homes Addition, Lubbock, Texas, for a consideration of w,8995., plus w5.00
filing fees. Said land being purchased f .)r right-of-way for 50th Street. Payment hereby authorized
to be made from 1956 Street Improvement Bond Funds/.
56-15-349-951 Notion by Commissioner Casey, seconded by Commissioner Baker, motion carried, Yvjor Forrest and
Commissioners Baker, Byrd and Casey voting -Yea., none voting Nay, appropriation Ordinance No. 2016,
was passed as emergency measure.

w'Hr'REAS, the City Commission of the City of Luboock finds it is necess^.ry �o appropriate
certain specific funds out of bond funds for an apiproved project, and this ord-nance deals with
the daily operation of City Departments in the public interest which creates an emergency; NOW,
THEREFORE.,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY Cojv3a ;'ION OF T- E CITY OF LUBBOCK:
