Letters were read from two different property owners in the I,Iaddox Addition reiue sting the pity to dig their water wells deeper account the City well depleted t,ieir water supply. There was discussion and It was unanimously agreed to not dig the wells deeper as the pity well was dug before either of the other wells. Letter was read requesting City to install Water Leter, pipe with two hydrants, one for the yard and one for the house, and give water at the rzinimum water rate, to J R Ham., 414 4+h Street, account City Water well having depleted his supply of water in water well. There was discussion, but no action taken. 1'�oti on by Commissioner LcP::illan, seconded by Commissioner Fortenberry, carried unanimously, to approve the following bonds. Harold Biffle, General Contractor's Bond Guy C. Brown, Fumigation Bond P.Iotion by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Price, carried unanimous ly , to purchase piece of land from Lars. Sylva B . Wheelock, being land lying between the Fast end of I,:ain Street arc? the East line of Section 1, Block 0, Lubbock County, Texas, cost to be $75.00. Central Baptist Church requested the City Commission to make adjustment on ;dater bill, nt the church; there Teas discussion but no :action taken. Lotion by Corrimissi7,ner Jones, seco-,ded by Oorinissioncr Lc1,:illan, carried unanimously, the following men were appointed to serve on the Airport Board. 1-essrs. A.F. Holt, Ray F. Hinchey, Doyle Settle. Lessrs. -aobt. Bean, and I.a.rion Sanford, appeared before the Corx:ission representing the men 's Civic Clubs, and there was discussion of the pity paying the salary of a man to serve as Counselor and director of activities of a Boys' Club. Potion was glade by Cor•iriissioner Jones, seconded by Ooiziissiuner L'CI,illan, carried unanimously, to pay the salary of a man to serve in this capacity, to be selected by the Civic Clubs, in an amount not to exceed .?'150.00 oar month.
