The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, net at 10 A.M.
in Recessed Regular Session, Recessed from Regular Meeting of April
13, 1939, at the Rerrular Fleeting Plpce in the pit:, Hall, the follow-
ing members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor C E Slaton, Commissioners 7.7 G FIcllillan, '"d B Price, J A
Fortenberry, Iiub Jones, City Manager W H Rodgers.

Fiotion by Conzaissioner Fortenberry, seconded by Commissioner Price,
carried unanimously, to authorize I:layor Slaton and Commissioner
Hub Jones to go to 1+ia.shington, D.C. , -,t the City's expense, to crake
further investigation in connection aith grant on Storm: Server Project,
niso to attend Aeronautical P.-eeting.
No further business coming up for consideration, the Oity Dora -fission

That WHEREAS, heretofore to -wit, on Feb. 28th, 1936,
the City ty of Lubbock, 'texas, by Ordinance No. 544, duly passed
by the City Commission of said Oity, did levy and assess for Street
improvement purposes against Lot One (1) in Block Sixty-seven (67)
Highland Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas, the sum of "'330.63; and
WHEREAS, said assessment was made for the purpose of paving
that part of Avenue V, which joins and abuts the above described
property; a.nd
IVI- M2P,S, said pavement has not been laid, and said assessment
has created as cloud and an apparent .lien upon the title to the above
described property.
NOVI, TIT,REFORE, the City of Lubbock, acting by and through
its officers thereunto dull- authorized, in consideration of the
premises and of One Dollar cash it hand paid, the City o-=' Lubbock
does hereby release, relinnuish and forever suit claim all the
right, title and interest it has i-i the above described property
by virtue of the assessment above described.
