The City Com. fission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 3 in
Recessed Regular Session, Recessed froze lL'egular l.eeti nG of Feb.
100 1938, at the F,ezJular Eeeting Place in the City hall, the
following members thereof being present, to-vrit, :

This neeting, was called for the purpose of discussion of the traffic
situation and conzAttee from the Lubbock Safety Council, composed
of 0 B Conley, Levis Kittrell and Capt. W.W. Legge of the State
Highirray Department, appeared before the Corinission, making, anong
others, the following recommendations.
That 19th Street, 15th Street , Broadway, 8th Street and Avenue iZ
be made Boulevards.
That traffic lights be installed on! --venue rj at 8th otreet, IIain
Street, Broadway, 15th Street and 19th Street.
That p<+rking of automobiles at the curbs surrounding school build-
ings be forbidden.
Capt. W.'l. Legge of the State Highfva�r Department stated that the
btate highway Department wou . d furnish and install Traffic Lights
at 19th Street and College I.venue and Broadr.ray and College !_venue,
if the City would maintain these signals, and upon notion by
Commissioner Write, seconded by Corinissioner I,:cliillan, carried
unanimously, to authorize the State Highway Department to install
these lights, authorizing the T:ayor to sign Contract.

also be shorn in these 'Traffic Iooklets.

traffic ordinance showing the changes they desire to be
made qnd present to the Corimission at their next regular
meeting, for consideration.
