Lubbock, Texas, Sept. 17, 1937.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 1:30 P.M.
Sept. 17, 1937, in Recessed Regular Session, Recessed from Regular
Meeting of Oept. 9, 1937, at the Regular Fleeting Place in the City
Hall, the following members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor Ross Edwards, Commissioners ul B Price. 71 G McMillan, J.A.
Fortenberry, A J Richardson, City Attorney Durwood H Bradley, City
Manager IV H Rodgers and City Secretary Lavenia Williams.
Absent: Commissioner W G McMillan.
The meeting was called for further discussion in regard to
passing Ordinance No. 571 governing the sale of new and used
automobiles in the pity of Lubbock, Texas.
Messrs. L.E. Grimes, Geo. Euykendall, Judge Campbell, Harry Morris,
L.E. Davis, J. Ray Dickey, and others, appeared before the commission
and there was a general discussion. The City Commission decided not
to take any action until automobile dealers get together on a
definite proposition.
No further business coming up for consideration, the City Commission
adjourned.
