in the City of Lubbock, hereby petition the Honorable 'Mayor and
this Honorable City CorrLmission to refuse to grant the Panhandle
Rr Santa Fe Rail -ray Company a franchise to bui :! d such spur track
along said alley. e are opposed to this action on the part
of the City Cor:_missior in granting such franchise for the
reason that all and each. elf us have long been citizens of the
City of Lubbock, and have long ago chosen to make our residenc,
in the location of our choice, and the building of this spur

"-e do not desire to obstruct progress in our city, but T-e do
--•ish to live in our ci.t_T in peace, and further we feel that we
should have aceees to our hones and that tare should have egress
from our homes-rithout being obstructed in all directions by
rail ---ay tracks. e -ish to re:-iind the Honorable Mayor and
