Lubbock, Texas, August 26, 1935.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 9 A.M.
in Recessed Regular Session, Recessed from Regular Meeting of
August 22, 19359 at the Regular Meeting Place in the City Hall,
the following members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor Ross Edwards, Commissioners Geo E Benson, 1+.B. Price, J.C.
Royalty, City Manager 'W H Rodgers.
Absent: Commissioner A.J. Richardson, and If1.0. Stevens, City
Secretary.
Upon motion by Commissioner Benson, seconded by Commissioner
Royalty, carried unanimously, Ordinance No. 537 passed First
Reading.
ORDINANCE NO, 537
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX UPON ALL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO TAXATION
"'ITHIN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE CITY
FOR THE YEAR 19359 APPORTIO]VING SAID LEVY AMONG THE VARIOT.S FUNDS
AND ITTW.S FiR WHICH REVENUE 141UST BE RAISED, LEVYING AN OCCUPATION
TAX UPON ALL OCCUPATIONS TAXABLE AND FIXING THE TIME IN 71HICH SAID
TAXES BE PAID, ASSESSING PENALTY AND INTEREST FOR NON PAYi1iENT OF
SUCH TAXES T"ITHIN THE TIME SET AND DECLARII G AN EMERGENCY.
Motion by Commissioner Benson, seconded by Commissioner Royalty,
the following Resolution carried unanimously.
Notice Of Hearing Of City Budget
Notice is hereby given that at 2 o'clock P.M. September 12, 19359
in the city offices of the City Commission on the second floor
of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, there will be held by said City
Commission a rublic hearing on Budget of said City for the fiscal
year beginning April 1, 1935, and ending March 31, 1936, by order
of the City Commission, August 8, 1935.
