Lubbock, 'Texas, November 27, 1933,
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, 'Texas, and the County
Commissioners Court of Lubbock County, met at 10:30 A.I. in joint
session at the Court House, the following members thereof being
present, to -wit:
County Judge E.L. Pitts, County Commissioners Claude Burrus, N.P.
Florence, B.O. McWhorter and T.L. Holt, County Auditor, J.Y. Boyd.
Mayor J.J. Clements, City Commissioners J.F. Bacon, Jno. E. Roach,
Geo. E. Benson, J.C. Royalty, City Manager W.H. Rodgers.

Absent: None.
Motion by City Commissioner Benson, seconded by County Com-
missioner McWhorter, Resolution was unanimously passed that
a sufficient fund be appropriated to take care of rental of
building for one year and to equip said building to operate
a canning plant as per the specifications of the 'Texas
Relief Commission. This plant to be built and maintained
as to meet Federal requirements.
Motion by Commissioner Benson, seconded by Commissioner Roach,
carried unanimously, City Secretary J.L. Holt was instrudted
to issue warrant in the amount of '�500.00 in favor of the County -
City Welfare Ass'n., as the Uity's share in the Charity r'und.
No further business coming up for consideration, upon motion by
Mr. Benson, seconded by Mr. Royalty, carried unanimously, the
City Commission adjourned.
