REGULAR MEETING.
Lubbock, Texas, Nov. 23, 1933,
The City Commission of the Uity of Lubbock, 'Texas, met at 1030 P.M.
in Regular Session at the Regular Meeting Place in tide City Hall,
the following members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor J.J. Clements, Commissioners J.F. Bacon, Geo; E. Benson,
J.C. Royalty, City Attorney E.L. Klett, City Manager W.H. Rodgers
and City Secretary J.L. Holt.
Absent: Commissioner Jno. E. Roach.
The Minutes of Regular Meeting of November 9th and Recessed Regular
Meeting of Nov. 139 1933, were read and upon motion by Mr. Benson,
seconded by Mr. Royalty, they were unanimously approved.
The Minutes of Accounts Allowed frmm Warrant No. 9718 to Warrant.
No. 9841, both inclusive, were read and upon motion by Mr. Royalty,
seconded by Mr. Benson, they were unanimously approved and ordered
signed.
Motion by Mr. Bacon, seconded by Mr. Royalty, carried unanimaa sly,
the paving program as outlined by City Manager W.H. Rodgers to be
worked through C.W. A. Relief Work was approved as follows:
Pave Avenue T - Broadway to 7th
Pave 7th St. - Avenue T to Ave. Q
Pave 9th St. - Ave. J to Avenue K
Pave 9th St. - Texas Ave. to Avenue H
Pave Avenue V - Broadway to 14th St
Pave Avenue X - 16th St. to B roadweF
Pave Avenue K - 19th St. to 20th St.
Pave 20th Street two blocks West fmm present pavement.
Motion by Mr. Benson, seconded by Mr. Bacon, carried unanimously,
Mayor Clements was authorized to appoint the following committee:
W.L. Metcalfe, V.H. Rodgers, E.L. Klett. The committee was
authorized to investigate the traffic situation at the High and Junior
High schools and if found advisable to install traffic lights on.
14th and 19th Streets.
Motion by Mr. Benson, seconded by Mr. Royalty, carried unanimously,
the expense to Austin by Mr. W.H. Rodgers to the C.W.A. meeting
in the amount of '�16.60 was approved and ordered paid.
No further business coming up for consideration, upon motion by
Mr. Royalty, seconded by Mr. Benson, carried unanimously, the city
Commission Recessed to meet Nov. 27, 1933, at 10:30 A.M.
