Lubbock, Texas, Apr. 27, 1933.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at
lt30 P.M. in Regular Session at the Regular Meeting Place
in the City Ha11, the following members thereof being
present, to -wit:
Mayor J.J. Clements, Commissioners J.F. Bacon, Geo. E. Benson,
J.C. Royalty, Jno. E. Roach, City Manager W.H. Rodgers and
City Secretary J.L. Holt.
Absent: None.
The Minutes of Regular Meeting of April 139 1933, were read
and upon motion by Mr. Bacon, seconded b-T Mr. Royalty, they
were unanimously approved.
Minutes of Accounts allowed from Warrant No. 8738 to Warrant
No. 8889, both inclusive, were read and upon motion by Mr.
Bacon, seconded b-r Mr. Benson, they were unq.r_imously
approved and ordered signed by the Mayor and City Secretary.
Motion by Mr. Roach, seconded by Mr. Bacon, carried unani-
mously, City Mtinager W.H. Rodgers was instructed to purchase
a maximum car (1200 Sacks) of cement from Telford Lumber
Company at 65X per sackq net, f.o.b. Lubbock, they submitting
the lowest bid.
Upon motion by Mr. Bacon, seconded by Mr. Roach, carried
unanimously, it was ordered to charge off the following

Motion by Mr. Bacon, seconded by Mr. Roach, c arried
unanimously, City Manager W.H. Rodgers was authorized to
purchase asphalt for paving jobs and enter into contract
with G.B. Dyson and Company to heat, hall and apply the
asphalt at the best possible price. Not to exceed
2 3%4/ per gallon.
No further business coming up for consideration, upon motion
by Mr. Roach, seconded by Mr. Bacon, the City Uommission
Recessed to Yre et May 9, 1933, at 5930 P.M.
