LI IT? 1IOYS FOR AID TO CITY-COUYTY IhDIG7 TS ORDERE'D:
There came on for consideration the matter of li,it-
L. ing the aid of the City -County 'elfare Ass'n., to our own
citizens, and it appe«ring to both corL issions that since the

limit to our ability to aid indigents, the welfare of our own
city and county citizens should be first considered, and it
further appearing th^.t there are many transients f ror^ other
sections drifting to Lubbock County and asking for aid through
the City -County 17elfare Ass'n., it vv-,as therefore unanimously
ordered by both commissions that aid authorized by the City -
County 71elf-.re Assn be limited to citizens of Lubbock County
vrl!o h:,ve resided in said county continuously f,_r a period of
one year previous to the application for aid, and that there be
no aid granted to applicants who h-ive not resided in Lubbock
County continuously for a period of one year previous to ap-
plication for same, except upon the authority of what is
kno,m as the Case Committee.
