Lubbock, Texas, November 10, 1932.
The pity Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at
1t30 P.M. in Regular Session at the Regular Meeting Place in
the City Ball, the following members thereof being present,
to -wit:
Mayor J.J. Clements, Commissioners Jno. E.Roach and J.C.
noyalty, City AttorneyM.1. Klett, City Manager W.H. Rodgers
and City Secretary J.L. Holt.
A,,sent: Commissioners J.F. Bacon and Geo. E. Benson.
The Minutes of Regular Meeting of October 27, 1932, were read
and upon motion by Mr. Roach, seconded by Mr. Royalty, they
were unanimously approved.
The Minutes of Accounts allowed from Warrant No. 8124 to Warrant
No. 8250, both inclusive, were read and upon motion by Mr. Roach,
seconded by Mr. Royalty, they were unanimously approved and
ordered signed by the Mayor and Uity Secretary.
RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION
TO ADOPT LIVESTOCK ORDINANCE NO. 497.
Moved by Mr. Roach, seconded by Mr. Royalty, unanimously
carried, th-t Return of Election to adopt Livestock Ordinance
No. 497 be canvassed and results declared. And it appearing
from election certificate that 392 votes were cast in favor
of adoption of said ordinance and 812 votes were cast against
adoption of said ordinance, it is hereby ordered that said
ordinance be not adopted.
Upon motion by Mr. Royalty, seconded by Mr. Roach, carried
unanimously, City Manager W.H. Rodgers was instructed to have
20th Street covered with four (4) inches,of Rock Chat, between
Avenue `i' and Avenue U, at an approximate cost of ;125.00.
Upon motion by Mr.Roach, seconded by Mr. Royalty, carried
unanimously, the CityC ommission agreed to accept Mr. Gilliland's
proposition with reference to a Street to the Compress. He
agreed to give the right-cf-way if the City would grade the Street.
Upon motion by Mr.Roach, seconded by Mr. Royalty, carried
unanimously, City Manager W.H. Rodgers was instructed to have
Contract drawn up and signed with Dr. Fred W.Standefer on the
Sewer Farm Lease.
No further business coming up for consideration, upon motion
by Mr. Rr3a.ch, seconded by Mr. Royalty, carried unanimously,
the City Commission to meet November 239 1932, at
lt30 P.M. C_Ess
