Lubbock, Texas, June 4, 1932.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 10 A.M.
in Recessed Regular Session, Recessed from Regular Meeting of May
269 1932, at the Regular Meeting Place in the City Hall, the
following members thereof being present,, to -wit:
Mayor J.J.Clements, Commissioners Geo. E. Benson, J.C.Royalty,
J.F. Bacon, City Attorney E.Z. Klett, City Manager W.H. Rodgers
and City Secretary J.L. Holt.
Absent: Commissioner Jno. E. Roach.
This meeting called for the purpose of discussing the Lindsey and
Palace Theatre blowup. After due discussion, upon motion by Mr.
Benson, seconded by Mr. Bacon, carried unanimously, City Manager
T.H. Rodgers was instructed to employ Mr. T.D.Whitehorn at a
salary of �200.00 per month, as special investigator. Mr. Klett
to write State Comptroller's office for permission, as Mr.
77�,itehorn is now employed by them.
No further I•usiness coming up for consider-tion, upon motion by
Mr. Bacon, seconded bar Mr. Royalty, the City Commission adjourned.
