Lubbock, Texas, Decemr er 17, 1.931.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, 'Texas, met at
3:30 P.M. in _3ecessed Red; .lar session, Recessed from Regular
Meeting of December 10, 1931, at the Re(;,lar ITeeting Place
in the City Hall, the following members thereof being present,
to -wit:
Mayor J.J. elements, commissioners D.N. Leaverton, J.Y. Bacon,
Jno. E. Roach, Geo. L. Benson, Uity Attorney L L. Rlett, city
Manager W.H. Rodgers and City Secretary J.L. Bolt.
Absent: None.
Motion by Mr. Bacon, seconded by 11r. Roach, carried unanimously,
it was agreed to extend a vote of thanks to the State Fire
Insurance Commission for the cooperation time have received in
the last year in our Fire Prevention ,fork.
Motion by Mr. Penson, seconded by TRr. Leaverton, carried
unanimously, it was ordered to pay the last half of December
salaries on Dec. 24, 1931.
Motion by 11r. Leaverton, seconded by 1Tr. Roach, carried unanimous-
ly, the City secretary -was ordered to issue Voucher in the amount
of 500.00 to the County -City -.elfare Association as City's
part of Charity I+Un d.
Iviotion by i,ir. Bacon, seconded by T:Tr. Roach, carried unanimously,
the Uity Tax rate for 1932 was tentatively sot at 50V on the
".100.00 on the present valuation.
No further business coming up for consideration, upon z.-otion by
lvb?. Bacon, seconded by 1',r. Leaverton, carried unanimously, 'the
City Commission recessed to meet December 23, 1931, at 1.30 P.M.
