J.1A. Marcy was charged for year 1928 with 2 trucks and one car his address being Lubbock, 'Texas, but since he lives on goute No. 6 near 'aoodrow I am sure this was in error. I first thought there must be an other J.M. Marcy, but he states that he did own such trucks and auto, but that he had lived near Woodrow for the past 15 years. Amount charged with $4.00. J.F. Bumpass failed to render his property and we erred in his value in the addition of figures on the new i::provei-,:ents and should be credited for year 1930, with $22.50. This is on Lot 11, Block 1, South Side Addition. J.A. Dean owner of Lots 9 & 10 Blk. 18 Overton Addition moved house off said lots and rebuilt, and we got the new building but failed to get data that the one was moved off and is due credit for year 1930, for $3.38. J.B. Sperman of Lovington, New Mexico, rendered his real estate and when said rendition was taken in figuring the correct percent value said figuring was done on the column for personal property and was not struck out and naturally the figures 3250 were added as personal property when in fact he had no personal property here. Mr. Sheppard remembered this and I am sure he is correct as he took the rendition and did the figuring over- looking that it was not erased. In this a credit of $40.75 is due. The matter regarding Gas Rates and Gas Bills paid by citizens of the City of Lubbock, together with petition presented by some 450 citizens was discussed at length by the pity Commission and taken under advisement for investigation regarding amount paid by various citizens which claim to be in excess of the previous year.
