Lubbock, Texas, January 31,1931.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, net at
7 �'.T:I. in Recessed Regular Session, recessed from Regular
1=eeti ng of January 22, 1931, at the Regular I.eeting Place in
the Uity Hall, the following members thereof being present,
to -wit:
Mayor J.J. Clements, Commissioners J.F.Bacon, D.N. Leaverton, Jno.L.
Roach, City Manager J. Bryan Liller, City attorney ".L. Ylett,
and City Secretary ',t'.H. nodgers.
Absent: Corm. issi oner Geo. L. benson.
the matter of extending tax :payments without penalty was dis-
cussed at length and City Attorney L.L. Klett rendered an
opinion that the City Commission was without authcrity to make
such extension under the present charter without an amendment
granting same.
The matter of delinquent persom-1 taxes was discussed and it was
ordered that the Tax Department get in behind all delinquent
personal taxes and collect them as fast as possible.
No further business coming up for cons iderution, upon notion
by ?._.r. Leaverton, sac onded by Er. poach, the City Commission
recessed. to meet February 7, 1931, at 5 .i:.
