the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 2 P.m.
in Recessed Regular Session Recessed from Regular Meeting of
September 25, 1930, at the kegular Meeting Place in the City Hall,
the following members thereof being present, to -wit:

Searetary, W.H. Rodgers.
Absent: None.
The matter of purchasing a car for the Police Department eras
discussed and upon motion by Mr. Roach, seconded by 1•'r. Benson,
carried unanimously, it was ordered to purchase a Chevrolet
Sedan from the huykendall Chevrolet Company.
Motion by Mr. Roach, seconded by Mr. Benson, carrie d unanimously,
Mayor J.J. Clements was instructed to appoint one man and ask
the County to appoint one man and the City of Slaton to appoint
one man each as a committee to plant trees on highway between
Lubbock and Slaton. '-hereupon Mayor Clements appointed Mr.
W.R. Blake as the City Representative.
No further business coming up for consideration, upon motion by
Mr. Roach, seconded by Yr. Bacon, the City Commission adjourned.
