RECESSED REGULAR MEETING.
Lubbock, Texas, August 8, 1930,
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 10 A.M.
in Recessed Regular Meeting, recessed from Regular Meeting of July
249 1930, at the Regular Meeting Place in the City Hall, the
following members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor J.J. Clements, Commissioners Jno. E. Roach, D.N. Leaverton,
City Attorney E.L. Klett, City Manager J. Bryan Miller and
City Secretary W.H. Rodgers.
Absent: Commissioners J.F. Bacon and Geo. E. Benson.
Motion by Mr. Leaverton, seconded by Mr. Roach, City Secretary
I.H. Rodgers was instructed to issue Warrant in favor of S.C.
Rouse in the amount of $68.05 in payment for a portion of Electric
Power Line from the Country Club to his residence as per Easement
Deed of Record.
Motion by Mr. Leaverton, seconded by Tdr. Roach, the following
Ordinance passed first reading. ,,
ORDINANCE CLOSING HEARING AND LEVYING ASSESSMENT FOR FART
OF THE COST OF IMPROVING A PORTION OF AVENUE "H" IN THE CITY
OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, FIXING A CHARGE AND LIEN AGAINST PROPERTY
ABUTTING THEREON, AND AGAINST THE OWNERS THEREOF, PROVIDING
FOR THE COLLECTION OF SUCH ASSESSMENTS, AND THE ISSUANCE OF
ASSIGNABLE CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE THEREOF, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY:
No further business coming up for consideration upon motion by
Mr. Roach, seconded by Mr. Leaverton, the City 6ommission
adjourned.
