Lubbock, Texas, Sept. 15, 1928.
The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas met at 2 P. YI, in
Called Session at the Regular tweeting Place in the City Hall, the fol-
lowing members thereof being present to wit:
Mayor ti. D. goods, Commissioners J. H. Hankins, A. V. Weaver, City
Attorney E. L. l:lett, City Manager G. d. McCleary and City Secretary
N. H. Rodgers.
Absent: Commissioner 1). 11. Leaverton and J. F. Bacon.
Meeting called for purpose of discussing subways on hvenue H and East
Broadway with Mr. J. C. Barton Division Superintendent Santa 2e Ry.
and Mr. T. A. Blair Division En.;rineer, Santa rIe Ry. , .alaton. After
considerable discussing it was decided to discujs contract at future
date of City Commissioner$* meeting.
Upon motion by Mr. Weaver, seconded by r.:r. iiankins it was ordered that
the City Commission will withdraw their request from the County for
funds to help build the subways on ��venue li and mast Broadway, provided
they accept the proposition from the Federal Government and Highway
i)epartment to pave North and South Avenue ti from present pavement to
the City Limits.
No further business coming up for consideration upon motion by l;:r.
Weaver, seconded by tar. Hankins the City Commission adjourned.
